The Color Fastness Automatic Grading System is a precision instrument designed to evaluate textile colorfastness, including color change, staining, rubbing fastness (dry and wet), and lightfastness. Traditionally, colorfastness evaluation relied on experienced graders using standard lightboxes and grey scales. This system combines LED active illumination with RGB imaging technology to automatically capture color and appearance, providing accurate digital grading and performance evaluation.
Application
The instrument is suitable for:
(1) Textile manufacturing: assessing colorfastness of fabrics, yarns, and finished garments.
(2) Quality control laboratories: automatically grading color change, staining, and lightfastness for batch inspection.
(3) R&D departments: evaluating new dyes, pigments, and fabric treatments.
(4) ERP-integrated quality management: uploading colorfastness data for product tracking and analysis.
(5) Standard compliance verification: ensuring adherence to domestic and international colorfastness standards.
(6) Garment and apparel industry: evaluating color durability under friction and exposure conditions.
(7) Textile testing institutions: providing reproducible and objective digital grading results for certification.
Standards
The system complies with domestic and international textile standards, including:
(1) GB/T 39648-2020 – Textiles – Colorfastness test – Digital image technology grading
(2) ASTM D1729 – Standard test method for colorfastness
(3) ISO 3664 – Viewing conditions for graphic technology and photography
(4) DIN standards for color measurement and lightfastness
(5) AATCC standards – Colorfastness to light, crocking, and washing
(6) BSI textile color standards
